The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) is proud to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2024. The district invites high school students to participate in a logo design contest to help commemorate this significant milestone and highlight the district's rich history. This contest aims to honor the pioneering spirit of those who established the Placentia School District in 1874 and paved the way for the present-day award-winning education system.
 
The contest objective is to create a compelling and visually captivating graphic design that symbolizes the district’s 150th anniversary, showcasing its history, growth, and commitment to educational excellence. It is important to note that this design will not replace the district’s current logo, but it will be used to highlight the milestone of the 150th anniversary.
 
The contest is open to all currently enrolled high school students within the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. Here are several example logos created by similar organizations to celebrate an anniversary. All entries must be submitted by Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
