Dear Students and Parents,
We know that post-secondary planning is important to you even while your student is learning remotely during the pandemic. It is important to the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) as well, but equally as important is the health and safety of our students.
This was the rationale behind cancelling the October 17, 2020 PSAT. At the time, our best prediction was that school was not going to reopen by that date based on the guidance by the California Department of Public Health and the Orange County Health Authority at the time. However, we also knew it was important for current juniors who wanted to take the PSAT to be afforded the opportunity.
As a result, all four comprehensive high schools will be hosting the PSAT on the alternate date selected by the College Board of January 26, 2021. Though this will be during the week of finals, the high schools are formulating a plan to accommodate all juniors who are interested in taking the administration of the exam on that day. More information will be forthcoming from each of our high schools.
