The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) will join the nation in recognizing Black History Month 2021 throughout February. Black History Month is a federally recognized, nationwide celebration that encourages individuals to reflect on and celebrate the important roles that African Americans have played in shaping United States history.
Accordingly, PYLUSD schools across the district have planned various activities to help students, staff, and community members honor the importance of Black History Month. Activities will include school-wide announcements highlighting influential and historical individuals, decorations around campus, informational social media posts, and much more.
