What is Parent University?
Throughout the 2022-2023 school year, PYLUSD will offer free workshops on various educational topics so parents and guardians may become better equipped to support their student’s learning. Research indicates that when schools work together with families to support learning, students perform better in school and throughout life.
What is the goal of Parent University?
Our mission is to mobilize parent power and encourage greater family involvement in developing a lasting learning partnership in which parents support their children in achieving academic and personal success.
When are classes offered?
Classes are offered during evening hours on various days of the week in both English and Spanish. We hope our community will find the sessions beneficial as we work together to ensure our students will have the advantage of an outstanding education. In addition to attending classes, we have listed links to several websites and recommended readings that will provide parents with additional resources. The links and readings are grouped by specific topics.
